The Korea Football Association (KFA) on Monday announced the roster for the national team’s domestic training camp in preparation for the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar next January.
The roster is comprised of K League players who are on the shortlist for the final Asian Cup roster and some international players who are taking a break from training.
The training will be led by national team physical coaches Werner Reutard and Lee Jae-hong.
Through weight training and conditioning, the focus will be on checking the players’ fitness levels and fatigue after the recent season and maintaining their conditioning.
“Many of our players are coming off a season where they are very tired and need to start preparing for the tournament, so we want to make sure they are in the best shape possible with proper rest and training,” said head coach Jürgen Klinsmann.
The training will be held at a hotel in Seoul from July 26-31 and will consist of indoor training only.
All K League players named to the roster will begin training on the 26th, while international players will join in according to their personal schedules, including returning home. 카지노사이트가이드
There were hopes that Klinsmann would be able to call up some ‘new faces’ from the K League after Hwang Eui-jo (Norwich City), who has been utilized as a frontline striker alongside Cho Kyu-sung (Mitwillan), was temporarily suspended from the national team for illegal filming, but the roster is filled with familiar names.
Cho Kyu-sung was the only one named in the front line.
The final roster for the Asian Cup has been expanded from 23 to 26 players.
The final 26-man roster will be announced on April 28.
Of the 26 players submitted to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Asian Cup participating teams will be able to name 23 players for each match.
