Hwang Sun-Hong-ho in the same group as Japan-China-UAE at next year’s U-23 Asian Cup

Hwang Sun-Hong has been drawn in Group B for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Asian Cup 2024 in Qatar next April.
South Korea was drawn into Group B (Korea, Japan, China, UAE) and will face Japan in the group stage of the U-23 Asian Cup at the Wyndham Doha Hotel in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday (Jan. 23).

The first through third place finishers in the tournament will qualify for the Paris Olympics.
Group A is made up of hosts Qatar, Australia, Jordan and Indonesia, while Group C features Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Thailand and Tajikistan.

Group D consisted of Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Kuwait, and Malaysia.
The first- and second-place finishers from each group will compete in the quarterfinals, with first- through third-place finishers advancing directly to the Paris Olympics.



Fourth-place finishers will play a playoff against a Confederation of African Football (CAF) member nation. 호텔카지노
Coach Hwang Sun-hong, who will be looking to qualify for his 10th consecutive Olympic Games, said through the Korea Football Association, “We are in a relatively difficult group, and we can’t let our guard down.

We will do our best to prepare and try to reach the final tournament.”

Hwang added, “The goal is of course to qualify for the 10th consecutive Olympic Games.

There will be many difficulties along the way, but I believe in the players’ abilities and will do my best to advance together.”
Meanwhile, Indonesia, led by Shin Tae-yong, will be fighting for a spot in the quarterfinals against powerhouses such as Qatar and Australia.
