New York Casino To Recruit Card Dealers

In December this year, Rivers Casino & Resorts Shenectady said it is now considering adding staff. On December 21, 2021, Northern State Gaming Realty announced it would need to recruit more table game dealers. Casinos even offer free dealer academy training to provide applicants with the training and knowledge they need for the job.

Only 40 people who have applied and approved for the six-week training program can attend the dealer academy. It usually costs $5,000 but is now free and runs at the casino’s training center, 220 Harborside Drive, Suite #201, Schenectady, NY 12305.

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady informs that applicants must be at least 21 years old to qualify for the position and course, and the course will begin on January 3, 2021, and the class will run for six weeks from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Successful applicants who receive a table game dealer position at the end of the course will receive a down payment of more than US$20 per hour. Benefits packages for healthcare, dental, vision insurance, and more will be included. It also offers paid time off, tuition repayment, 401K plans that match the company, and shuttle bus services at nearby CDTA Blue Line bus stops.

During the six-week course, applicants must learn how to handle cards for blackjack and other table games. Upon completion of the training, applicants must pass the final audition and obtain a New York State Gaming Certificate before being offered either a full-time or part-time job at Schenectady Real Estate. Interested people should also be willing to work on weekends and holidays.

Also, in December, the casino in the north donated more than $17,100 to charity with the PINKtober Stay, Eat and Drink Pink breast cancer awareness campaign. The donation was made to the American Cancer Society to help fight breast cancer. In addition, the money will provide more education and guidance for people to reduce their risk, as well as fund more innovative cancer research.

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is operated by Rush Street Gaming, and it was recently reported that the company was eyeing another casino license in Empire State. The New York State Gaming Commission is now seeking to award three more commercial casino licenses in Downstate, New York, and the company has already submitted bids to regulators.

Rush Street Gaming is quite optimistic about the possibility of obtaining such a license and predicts that it can replicate its success from the Schenectady property.
