Noh Si-hwan made a meaningful donation to his alma mater

Noh Si-hwan (24-Hanhwa), who won the KBO’s home run title last year (31), made a meaningful donation to his alma mater.

At the end of the year, Noh donated a total of $20 million worth of baseball equipment to his alma mater, Suyeong Elementary School, Gyeongnam Middle School, and Gyeongnam High School.

He personally visited his alma mater to encourage his juniors who were training in cold weather, and presented winter clothing and baseball equipment to Suyeong Elementary, 안전놀이터 and baseball equipment and a bat with his initials on it to Gyeongnam Middle and Gyeongnam High.

“This is the place that made me who I am today. received a lot of help from my seniors when I was younger, and now I’m happy to be in a position to give back. I look forward to seeing the juniors grow up and play professionally together.”

“I will make up for what I lacked last year and do better, and most importantly, I will help the team reach the fall baseball season,” said Noh.

Noh, who joined Hanwha with the third overall pick in the 2019 second round, exploded with potential last year in his fifth year. In 131 games, he batted .298 (153-for-514) with 31 home runs, 101 RBIs, a .388 on-base percentage, a .541 slugging percentage and a .929 OPS, leading the league in both home runs and RBIs.
