‘Jak Jeong-hyun’ explodes! Sono, Spellman return to defeat Jeong Kwan-jang for 2nd straight win in Anbangseo… Jeong Kwan-jang loses 3rd in a row

Goyang Sono smiled at the big play of Jae-Jung Hyun.

The Sono extended their winning streak to two games with an 86-82 home victory over the Anyang Jungkwanjang in the second round of the 2023-24 Jungkwanjang Pro Basketball League 텍사스홀덤 at Goyang Sono Arena on Monday.

SONO was led by Lee Jung-hyun with 26 points, five rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals. Chinanu Onuaku also dominated under the basket, finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and one steal.

The victory came on the back of 11 three-pointers. Sono has won two straight home games for the second time this season.

Jeong Kwan-jang fell to a third straight loss. Choi Sung-won had 18 points and eight assists, Park Ji-hoon had 19 points, five rebounds and three assists, and Jung Hyo-geun had 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists. However, Omari Spellman was unable to capitalize on his comeback, scoring just three points (four rebounds).

As valuable as the back-to-back home wins were, they also allowed Jeon Seong-hyun, who is playing with a back injury, to rest as much as possible. Head coach Kim Seung-ki Sono reduced Jeon’s playing time to 22 minutes and 6 seconds, which was enough to get the win.

Chung Kwan-jang, on the other hand, has been on a downward spiral. Even though the Koreans are fighting hard, it will be difficult for Spellman to regain his form.
