Come On, Joining Ontario As a Licensed Gaming Company

Late last week, ComeOn announced it had received official permission to join Ontario’s new competitive online sports betting and iCasino regime. This makes the company the 31st gaming company to win approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission to provide digital sports betting products to legal-age Ontarioians. 릴게임

Ontario’s open eye gaming and sports betting market for private operators officially opened on April 4, 2022. Companies that have received regulatory approval from AGCO can now legally deliver online products to local audiences. The market’s launch essentially eliminated the grey gaming sector, keeping some of its revenue within the province.

ComeOn’s license to operate as a legitimate sportsbook app in the province officially went into effect on April 21, 2022, making it the 31st license to operate in a competitive market, set to expire in April 2024, and only the 12th operator will be granted a two-year registration.

The province has so far granted licenses to more than 30 operators, including some gambling giants, and brands such as Unibet, The Score, Bet River, 888, Pointbet, Leo Vegas, Bewin, Bet365, FanDuel, Bet MGM, and Caesars Entertainment have joined.

Bragg Gaming Group, a Canadian B2B gaming provider, also has a deal with 888casino to enter the new iGaming system. Vendors will now launch exclusive game titles in their premium portfolio. Including the debut title of the supplier’s in-house studio Atomic Slot Lab, Egyptian Magic.

The province has decided to reopen the competitive iGaming market since April 2019, and has since been working to make it a reality, and in September last year, the province announced final standards for online betting and games, which include several restrictions related to game design, including banning auto-play, and sports betting rules require operators to join IBIA.

The Global Lottery Monitoring System announced that it will participate in the province’s sports betting field immediately after its opening, supports OLG’s sports betting integrity activities, raises awareness of sports games through GLMS activities, and focuses on fighting sports game manipulation.

The association does not provide sports betting or lottery verticals, but provides various services such as monitoring and education to member companies such as Crown Corporation, and supports cooperative activities between regions and stakeholders to respond to global issues.
