Alkaras, Thinner Likely to Face U.S. Open Quarterfinals

Defending champion and top seed Carlos Alkaras World No. 1, Spain has been teamed up with Dinyl Medvedev 3rd, Russia, Yannick Sinner 6th, Italy), Andrei Rublev 8th, Russia, and Alexander Zverev 12th, Germany. 토토사이트

On the other hand, Novak Djokovic 2nd, Serbia, who is aiming for his 24th Grand Slam title, was in the opposite group with Holger Lune 4th, Denmark, Casper Loud 5th, Norway, Stefanos Tsitsipas 7th, Greece, Taylor Fritz 9th, USA, and Francis Tiapo 10th, USA.

Alcaras, who won his first Grand Slam title at the tournament last year, will start defending his title against Dominic Kopper 78th, Germany. Alkaras is likely to meet Sinner in the quarterfinals. The two also clashed in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open last year, and Alcaras won after a full-set race of more than five hours.

If they advance to the semifinals, they are likely to face another wall called Medvedev. Medvedev, the 2021 U.S. Open winner, can meet Zverev, who has almost recovered from his recent heyday in the fourth round, and Rublev, a longtime friend of the same nationality, in the quarterfinals.

On the other side, Djokovic, who returned for the first time in two years due to COVID-19 vaccination, is most likely to advance to the finals. However, there are many mountains to overcome. Djokovic, who is seeking his fourth win in New York, is likely to face 2021 semi-finalist Felix Oze Aliasim 15th, Canada in the fourth round and Tsitsipas or Fritz on his home court in the quarterfinals.

If Djokovic advances to the semifinals, it is likely that he will meet the winner of last year’s finalist Lud and Young Gun Lune. In particular, Lune is not easy to take as he is ahead of Djokovic with one win and two losses in his opponent’s record.
