LVS Issued US$1.75 Billion To Repay Existing Debt

Casino group Las Vegas Sands Corp., the parent company of Macau casino operator Sands China, will issue $1.75 billion in senior unsecured bonds, according to Tuesday’s prospectus. Proceeds from the issue will be used to refinance the company’s $1.75 billion due in August this year.

The notes will be issued in three tranches: $750 million is a senior note due in June 2027, $500 million is a 6.000% note due in August 2029, and $500 million is a 6.200% note due in August 2034.

Las Vegas Sands also operates the Marina Bay Sands Casino Resort in Singapore.

Moody’s has given Las Vegas Sands a “Baa3” rating on its proposed draft issuance. “All grades of the company remain unchanged, including the previous “Baa3″ rating on senior unsecured notes,” the rating agency said in a Tuesday report. The casino group’s outlook is “stable,” the agency added.

The refinancing of Las Vegas Sands “improves the maturity profile of the company,” according to Moody’s

“The stable outlook reflects our expectation that visitation and gaming revenue will continue to increase in 2024, allowing Las Vegas Sands to recover its credit metrics to a level consistent with our expectations,” the rating agency added.

“Given Macau’s continued recovery, Singapore’s strength and deleveraging from EBITDA [earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization] growth, we are well positioned to tap into debt capital markets to address maturities in 2024,” CBRE Capital Advisors Inc observed in a note on Tuesday.

“This issue was expected and as 2024 maturities are resolved, the focus of Las Vegas Sands in the second half of 2024 could shift to $1.8 billion due in Sands China in 2025 and another $500 million at the Las Vegas Sands level,” analysts Colin Mansfield and Connor Parks wrote.

“Las Vegas Sands should be a regular unsecured issuer over the next few years, and its credit profile provides exposure to two strong global gaming jurisdictions, a carefully managed balance sheet and shareholder returns strategy, and moderate leverage,” they added.

Las Vegas Sands’ total leverage in the first quarter “improved from 3.6 to 3.3 times quarter-on-quarter, primarily driven by EBITDA growth,” according to CBRE

“In our first quarter 2024 earnings call, [Las Vegas Sands] management reiterated their commitment to longstanding financial policy of maintaining investment ratings and “2.0 to 3.0 times” total leverage,” the CBRE team said.

Munich. Here we go!

Coach Bangsang Kompany does not seem to have agonized when he received Bayern Munich’s offer.

“The issue of appointing Munich’s next head coach is likely to finally end,” Germany’s “Bavarian Football” reported on the 23rd (Korea Standard Time). The final candidate will be Kompany, who led Burnley.

The media reported multiple news outlets. In particular, Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the transfer market, said, “Munich Bodzean was fascinated by Kompany’s vision and ideas. I think he has the potential to become a top coach. Now, Burnley has a compensation fee issue. Kompany accepted Munich’s offer after five minutes.”

Kompany is a young leader who is 38 years old now. He spent most of his career at Manchester City. Since joining Manchester City in 2008, he has been praised as the best defender of the Premier League as he has played top-notch for over 10 years. He then moved to his former club Anderlecht, where he made his professional debut, and immediately began his career as a coach after retirement.

Then, he assumed the leadership of Burnley ahead of the last season. After repeated promotion and relegation, Burnley ranked 18th in the 2021-22 season and dropped to the English Championship (minority 2). To reorganize the team, he appointed Kompany. Despite the chaotic situation with key players leaving the team and decreasing financial support, Kompany quickly reorganized the team.

Then, he won promotion to the PL in just one season. He didn’t lead the league from the beginning. However, Burnley under Kompany has been on the lead since November 2022, when he reached his halfway point for the season. In the end, he clinched promotion and won the title with seven games left in the league.

However, this season, which was the first season of promotion, ended regrettably. Burnley had only five wins in the league throughout the season. His final result was 18th in the league with five wins, nine draws and 24 losses in 38 games. Eventually, he will return to the championship stage in a year.

At the same time, there was a possibility that Munich would take over. Munich had difficulty finding a successor to Tuchel. Munich ended the season with disappointing results. It was eliminated from all competitions and ended with no win. In particular, even the German Bundesliga, which had won for 11 consecutive seasons, gave up its throne to Leverkusen. Then, it decided to separate from Tuchel at the end of February.

There was a possibility of immediate dismissal at the time, but the team decided that there was no suitable person for interim head coach. The team is also working on naming its next head coach. Many candidates were mentioned, including Leverkusen coach Xavi Alonso and former Munich coach Hanji Flick, but all failed.

In the meantime, The Times reported that Munich is considering appointing Kompany as its new manager. Munich decided to separate from Tuchel and chose to appoint its next coach, but this did not happen as desired. Kompany made a surprise report saying that despite experiencing relegation from Burnley this season, Kompany has been nominated.

Since the news first broke, coach Kompany’s trip to Munich has continued to take shape. It was argued that only the compensation agreement with Burnley remained.

Boxer’s epic win lays groundwork for Korea-Panama ties

Hong Soo-hwan, right, the former WBA super bantamweight champion, poses with Hector Carrasquilla, a boxer-turned-politician of Panama, at Incheon International Airport on Nov. 26, 2017. Carrasquilla visited Korea for the event to commemorate the 40th anniversary of their duel held in Panama in 1977. Yonhap

In the 1970s, Korea was a struggling nation, still grappling with the aftermath of the Korean War that had ravaged the country from 1950 to 1953. Faced with widespread poverty, the government was fervently pursuing a strategy of “export-led economic growth” in an effort to industrialize and transform the economy.

For ordinary Koreans, opportunities to learn about the world beyond their borders were extremely limited. Foreign travel was both restricted and rare, requiring government permits for those who wished to visit other countries. Television sets, a luxury item at the time, were beyond the financial reach of most Korean families and thus not a common source of information. As a result of these constraints on their access to external information, many Koreans remained relatively unaware of small, distant countries like Panama.

During that era of information scarcity, boxing legend Hong Soo-hwan played a unique and pivotal role in introducing the Korean public to Panama and its people, providing them with a rare glimpse into the distant land they knew little about.

His dramatic victory over Panama’s rising boxer Héctor Carrasquilla in the bout for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight title marked a milestone event that sparked a newfound awareness and interest in Panama among Koreans.

In 1977, the 27-year-old Korean boxer made a grueling journey to Panama for a match that would become one of the greatest sports moments in Korean history. The trip was an arduous and time-consuming endeavor, as there were (and still are) no direct flights between Korea and Panama.

He recounted that his journey to Panama turned into an unintended “world tour,” as he had to change flights in several global cities, including Tokyo, Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York, and Rio de Janeiro, before finally reaching his destination. The one-way trip took 10 days.

At just 17 years old, Carrasquilla was a fearless and formidable boxer, aptly nicknamed the “Devil from Hell.” With a record of 11 consecutive knockouts, he was a fierce opponent for Hong in their highly anticipated match. The first round was 한국을 relatively uneventful, but in the second round, Carrasquilla unleashed a relentless barrage of punches, knocking Hong down four times. Despite these setbacks, Hong managed to rise each time and continued to fight.

In a stunning display of resilience, Hong made a miraculous comeback in the third round, delivering a decisive knockout that left Carrasquilla unable to get up. With this victory, Hong clinched the WBA super bantamweight title, making history as the first Korean boxer to hold world championship titles in two different weight classes — the WBA and The Ring bantamweight titles in 1974 and the WBA super bantamweight title in 1977.

His relentless perseverance and dramatic victory generated a tremendous buzz. The way he rose from four knockdowns in the previous round to deliver a knockout blow in the third round was so extraordinary that many people regarded the outcome as being legendary rather than just a victory.

Hong rose to stardom, becoming a household name and receiving a rock-star welcome back home. Wearing a flower garland around his neck, he and his mother and older brother were honored with a jubilant vehicle parade from Gimpo International Airport to City Hall in the heart of Seoul.

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has become the first Korean shipbuilder to sign a master ship repair agreement (MSRA) with the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, the company said Thursday.

An MSRA is necessary for privately owned shipbuilders to enter the U.S. naval vessel maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) market.

Under the recent agreement, therefore, the Korean firm outpaced its rivals in terms of qualifications for participating in bids over the next five years to maintain and repair the U.S. Navy’s combatant ships and the U.S. Military Sealift Command’s auxiliary ships.

After HD HHI applied for the MSRA in May last year, the U.S. authorities finished their due diligence 대표하는 activities concerning the Korean firm’s facilities and the quality of its products in January. Inspections of its security and finances were done in March and May, respectively.

Based on the latest agreement with the U.S. government and the ongoing MRO for the Philippine Navy, the shipbuilder seeks to expand its presence in other Asian countries and Latin America.

In addition, the company expects orders from the U.S. government for the construction of naval and other government-owned vessels.

YouTuber Tzuyang opens up about 4 years of abuse by ex-boyfriend

YouTuber Tzuyang explains the violence she suffered at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, Thursday. Captured from Tzuyang's YouTube channel

Tzuyang (real name Park Jung-won), 27, a famous “mukbang” (a Korean word for eating show) YouTuber with over 10 million subscribers, revealed that she was a victim of illegal filming and violence at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, who was also the CEO of her agency.

She also claimed that he defrauded her to the tune of 4 billion won ($3.1 million) due to improper payment settlements from her broadcasts. Although she eventually pursued legal action, the case was dismissed due to no grounds for prosecution following the perpetrator’s death.

Tzuyang’s revelations were made in response to allegations made earlier in the day by the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, which claimed that YouTubers affiliated with “Cyber Wreckers,” referring to those who engage in online harassment or defamation to cause harm or extort money from others, had blackmailed her for tens of millions of won by threatening to expose her past.

Tzuyang held a live broadcast titled “I Will Tell You Everything” on her YouTube channel, Thursday. This broadcast was in response to a revelation made the previous 대표하는 day by the YouTube channel “GaSeYeon” (Garo Sero Institute), which alleged that Tzuyang had been blackmailed by multiple cyberstalkers using her past as leverage to extort money from her.

Tzuyang used this opportunity to clarify her past. She said the events occurred while dating her ex-boyfriend, Mr. A, whom she met when she was a university student.

“I tried to break up because he showed violent behavior, but he threatened to distribute an illegal video he had taken of me, so I couldn’t leave him,” she said.

Korea’s economic growth resumes on back of rising chip exports: OECD

Korea’s economic growth has resumed after overcoming a temporary slowdown caused by high global prices and sluggish exports following the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) said, Thursday.

In its report, “OECD Economic Surveys: Korea 2024,” the organization attributed the country’s strengthened growth largely to the strong global demand for semiconductors.

The OECD also projected private consumption in Korea to recover starting in the second half of this year, despite high inflation and soaring interest rates.

Based on these assessments, the OECD maintained its growth outlook for Korea at 2.6 percent for this year, the same projection it made in May. At that time, the organization 대표하는 had notably revised the outlook up by 0.4 percentage point from its previous projection of 2.2 percent made in February.

Inflation in Korea was forecast at 2.5 percent, down 0.1 percentage point from the May projection.

“Growth has strengthened after a soft patch, largely reflecting the fortunes of semiconductor exports,” the OECD said in the report.

BOK eyes policy shift as inflation shows signs of cooling

Bank of Korea Governor Rhee Chang-yong speaks during a press conference at the central bank headquarters in Seoul, Thursday. Yonhap

The Bank of Korea (BOK) will consider lowering the key interest rate at an appropriate time, underpinned by tempered inflation, the country’s top monetary policymaker said, Thursday, in a significant dovish shift in tone suggesting an end to the 12 consecutive rate freezes over the past 18 months. He cautioned against expectations of an imminent rate cut. The central bank kept the key rate unchanged at 3.5 percent.

Chief among the risk factors in easing is the pace of household debt growth, a major financial stability consideration tied almost exclusively to the most interest-sensitive 커뮤니티 spending, according to Bank of Korea Governor Rhee Chang-yong. Also coming into play to a greater extent are the country’s growth profile and currency value.

The BOK easing preceding the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) is not a possibility, in his view, a stance reflective of plunging value of the Korean won feared to crash further only to disturb months of stabilizing inflation dynamics.

Two of six monetary policy committee members were open to the possibility of easing in the next three months, he added, a forward guidance on the three-month horizon.

It’s the ‘greatest’ ranking race of all time.

It’s the ‘greatest’ ranking race of all time. It’s bloody on the field, but so much fun to watch. Who will cry and laugh in the second half?

The 2024 KBO League enters the second half of the season with five games in nine days.

The viewing point for the second half is clear. It’s a completely unpredictable standings battle.

It’s an epic battle. Every team has a goal. It’s interesting to see that there are no losers in the race for the title and fall baseball.

First, the championship race. The Kia Tigers swept the Samsung Lions at the end of the first half to take a 3.5-game lead, but it’s too early to rest on their laurels. They immediately open the second half with a three-game series against the second-place LG Twins. Depending on the outcome of this three-game series, the race for the top spot could change again.

Doosan, who have made a fresh start by replacing all their pitchers with foreigners, will also need to be careful. Given that Alcantara was virtually shut down, the math says that if Balajovic and Shirakawa can do more than that, Doosan’s chances of winning could be even higher. Samsung has also lost five in a row down the stretch, but they can’t be discounted as they’ve been on a winning streak and a losing streak this season.

Even more interesting than the race for first place is the battle for fifth place.

From fifth to 10th place, you never know who will have the last laugh. The fifth-place SSG Landers and 10th-place Kiwoom Heroes are separated by only five games. Kiwoom’s six-game winning streak at the end of the first half of the season ignited the race for last place.

No team is particularly strong, so it’s unpredictable. SSG Landers and NC Dinos have good base power. 해외 카지노 사이트 KT Wiz is the top dark horse in the second half. The team looks to repeat last season’s miracle of rising from last place to second place this year. The Lotte Giants have also come back from the dead in the first half thanks to the grit of coach Kim Tae-hyung and a strong offense. The Hanwha Eagles have also changed their fortunes with the appointment of Kim Kyung-moon. With the addition of Kim’s trusted assistant coach Yang Seung-kwan and pitching coach Yang Sang-moon, the team is expected to look even more different.

The biggest contributor to this season’s “honey jam” is Kiwoom. In fact, the team was rated as the worst team in the history of the game, with Lee Jung-hoo and Ahn Woo-jin missing. It was said that they could have lost 100 games before the season. However, the young players, led by head coach Hong Won-ki, have been performing beyond expectations. Especially the foreigners have been too good. As long as the league’s strongest one-two punch of Hurado-Heisus and Dawson, who is also a big man, doesn’t suffer from injuries, Kiwoom is a team to be reckoned with.

Lim Jong-sung became a hero of the Futures All-Star Game

Lim Jong-sung, who wore the iconic number 36 during his playing days with the Doosan Bears, became a hero of the Futures All-Star Game. Manager Lee Seung-yeop has identified him as the Bears’ next third baseman.

Doosan rookie infielder Lim Jong-sung, 19, started at third base for the Northern All-Stars at the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO Futures All-Star Game at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on May 5, going 2-for-4 with two doubles (one home run), one RBI and one run scored.

From his first at-bat, Lim made his mark on the fans of the 10 clubs. With the score tied 0-0 and the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, he hit a leadoff solo home run off Southern All-Star starter Han Cha-hyun (KT Wiz). Despite the unfavorable count of 1B-2S, he took a four-pitch pitch from Han and connected with it for a 120-meter home run to left-center field.

It was the first home run of the Futures League’s ‘0-homer’0 Lim Jong-seong since joining the professional ranks.

After striking out in the fourth inning and grounding out in the seventh inning, Lim came to the plate in the top of the eighth inning with the score 5-9 and hit a single to right field against Jeong Hyun-soo (Lotte Giants) for a multi-hit game. Ham Chang-geon (LG Twins) and Lim Jong-sung were the only other Northern All-Stars with more than two hits.

Im Jong-sung also had a “crazy presence” on defense. Down 2-9 with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, he made a spectacular diving jumping catch on a line drive by Choi Jae-jin and threw it to first base to extend the out, 온라인카지노사이트 and in the bottom of the eighth inning, trailing 5-9, he made a diving catch on a line drive by Lee In-han and threw it cleanly to second base. It looked like the talent to succeed Heo Kyung-min as Doosan’s starting third baseman had been born.

Lim Jong-sung was named the Futures All-Star Game’s Most Valuable Player for his offensive performance.

He received 1 million won in prize money and Mediheal cosmetics products as a consolation prize.

Upon hearing about Lim’s performance, manager Lee Seung-yeop told reporters at Jamsil Stadium on Aug. 8, “He didn’t have a home run this season, but he hit one there. Is he a star player?” He laughed and said, “Our young player went to the Futures All-Star Game and showed good performance in front of baseball fans. I didn’t know how good he was because I only saw his second-team results, but he hit a home run in such an important game. I think it was an opportunity for people to recognize his name,” said Lee with a proud smile.

Lim Jong-sung is an infield prospect who was selected by Doosan with the 22nd overall pick in the third round of the 2024 KBO Draft out of Gyeongbuk High School, Lee’s alma mater. Upon joining the team, he proudly wore the number 36, which was Lee’s number during his playing days, and was invited to the star-studded festival after batting 2-for-5 with eight runs and 15 RBIs in 47 games in the Futures League.

A Doosan representative at the Futures All-Star Game said, “Jong-sung Lim is a prospect that the organization is looking to develop into an infield starter in two years. He’s been making a name for himself in the Futures League, and the club is keeping a close eye on his play.”

The manager went on to evaluate Lim Jong-sung as a third baseman who could succeed Heo Kyung-min in the future.

“The second-team evaluation is very good. I think he can have more value than his performance. I keep hearing reports that he has the qualities to be Doosan’s starting third baseman in the long run, so I’m watching his performance closely these days.” “I heard that he works very hard and sincerely in the second team. I think I’ll see him in the first team someday,” he said, noting the 19-year-old’s potential.

Seoul High School’s Kim Ji-woo is a star in the making

“My older brother, who is in the third grade, was injured, so I suddenly got to play, and I’m happy to hit a home run.”

Seoul High School freshman Kim Ji-woo (16) announced his star emergence with a huge home run in the second game of the 79th Cheongryonggi National High School Baseball Championship and weekend league championship between Seoul High School and Korea Masa BC at Mokdong Baseball Stadium in Seoul on Monday.

Kim, who started the game as the No. 5 designated hitter, stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning with his team leading 9-1 and took a pitch from Korea Masa BC pitcher Kim Chang-ju. The ball went straight down the left-field line and cleared the left-field fence. The dugout and the stands erupted in gasps and applause. The ball traveled about 130 meters and reached a speed of 169 kilometers per hour. It was a big home run that is rarely seen in high school baseball.

Kim Ji-woo, a freshman, made a surprise appearance as the designated hitter when the starting third-year player was suddenly injured. But he lived up to the faith of Seoul High coach Kim Dong-soo. He drew a walk in his first at-bat in the first inning and reached base on an infield single in the third inning on a ball that nearly went to the left of the second baseman. In the fourth inning, she capped it off with her biggest home run of the day. She went 2-for-2 with a double, one walk, one RBI and three runs scored before being replaced by Kim Se-jung in the fifth inning. She reached base in every at-bat and scored in every at-bat, contributing to Seoul Go’s fifth-inning comeback win.

After the game,

Kim Ji-woo smiled shyly, saying, “I knew I wasn’t supposed to play today, but I suddenly got the chance to play, so I thought I would try to hit the ball well to avoid embarrassing my brothers, but I didn’t expect to hit a home run.”

Kim Ji-woo, who attended Seoul’s Isu Elementary School and Gangnam Middle School before entering Seoul High this year, had already made a name for himself as a promising player at Gangnam Middle. With a height of 184 centimeters and a solid physique, he already attracted attention as a pitcher in middle school, 카지노사이트 추천 posting a fastball in the 140-kilometer range and hitting home runs and other long balls at the plate. This season, he is still going strong, batting .571 with seven hits and four RBIs in nine at-bats in eight games.

“Kim Ji-woo has been a promising player since middle school, and as a pitcher, his fastball is currently around 147~148km and he has a good batting feel,” said Seoul High coach Kim Dong-soo. “His main position right now is third base, and I think he will grow into an infielder and hitter by his sophomore year.” “If he continues to train and work hard, I think he will be a great talent in the KBO in the future,” Kim said.

Kim’s idols are Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who is a two-hitter in the major leagues, and Kim Do-young, who has been playing MVP-level baseball for the KIA this season. “I will continue to do my best to become an outstanding player like Kim Do-young and Ohtani,” Kim said.

On the day,

Seoul Go advanced to the Round of 16 with a 15-1 fifth-inning cold-game victory over upstart Korea MasaBC, pounding out 16 hits behind Kim Ji-woo’s evenly matched performance. In the top of the first inning, the team scored five runs on an RBI single by No. 4 Wang Ji-hoon, an RBI double by No. 6 Jeon Yoo-min and an RBI double by No. 7 Kim Ji-heon.

In the bottom of the second inning, Hankook Martha BC pulled within one run, but Seoul came back with four runs in the top of the third. Jeon Yoo-min’s RBI double, Kim Ji-heon’s RBI single, a fielding error and a sacrifice bunt plated one run each.

After Kim Ji-woo’s grand slam in the top of the fourth inning made it 10-1, Seoul Go exploded for five runs in the top of the fifth inning and held the opposing bats scoreless in the bottom of the fifth inning to secure the 15-1 fifth inning victory. In addition to Kim Ji-woo, who hit a huge home run, No. 6 hitter Jeon Yoo-min went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored, and No. 7 hitter Kim Ji-heon went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Seoul Go will face Gangwon’s baseball powerhouse Gangneung Go in the round of 16 for a spot in the quarterfinals.
