Women’s Volleyball Moves to No. 4 on Official List…Pepper loses 15th straight match

The Jungkwanjang Women’s Professional Volleyball team defeated Pepper Savings Bank (Pepper) for their third straight win to move into fourth place in the league. Pepper snapped a 15-game losing streak.

Jung Kwan-jang defeated Pepper 3-1 (25-21 21-25 25-16 25-13) in a one-hour and 47-minute home match in the fourth round of the 2023-2024 season V League at Daejeon Chungmu Gymnasium 안전 토토사이트 on Nov. 11 for its third straight win.

Jung Kwan-jang, who has won all four meetings against Pepper this season, moved up from fifth to fourth place in the standings with 33 points (10-12), overtaking IBK (32-11). The gap between them and third-place GS Caltex (38-13 W-L) has narrowed to five points. Pepper, meanwhile, lost its 15th straight game and remained in seventh place out of seven clubs (7-2 W-20 L). Pepper’s last win was on November 10 last year against GS Caltex in Seoul. The club’s longest losing streak is 17 games.

Senior middle blocker Jung Ho-young (23) poured in a team-high 20 points, including five blocked shots. Foreign player Giovanna Milana (26-USA) and Asian quarterback Megawati Putih (25-Indonesia) chipped in with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Lee So-young (30) and Park Eun-jin (25) also chipped in with 10 points each, giving the team an even five players in double figures. Kwanjang outperformed Pepper across all offensive metrics, including team offensive success rate (45.31%-33.57%) and receiving efficiency (45.59%-25.84%).

In the men’s game at Suwon Gymnasium, KEPCO swept second-place Samsung Fire 3-0 (25-17 25-22 25-15) to move into fifth place (32-11 W-L), ahead of Hyundai Capital (31-9 W-L). Samsung Fire has lost three straight. KEPCO foreign player Tys Dulhout (33-Netherlands) scored 20 points and Im Sung-jin (25) added 14.
