Choi Eun-woo overcame the intense tension at the Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour Nexen-St. Nine Masters and won the championship for the second year in a row.

Choi Eun-woo reduced one stroke with two birdies and a bogey in the third round on the last day of the competition held at Gaya Country Club Shineo-Nakdong Course (par 72) in Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do on the 21st, and reached the top with a total of 8 under par 208 strokes. The winning prize is 162 million won.

Choi Eun-woo, who won the competition for the first time in his career last year, successfully defended his title and became the first player to win the competition more than twice since it began in 2013.

Jeong Yun-ji, who competed fiercely with Choi Eun-woo in the champion group, was tied for second place (7 under par, 209 strokes), one stroke behind Lee Dong-eun.

Yunji Jeong took second place for two consecutive weeks, including last week’s Mediheal and Hankook Ilbo Championships.

Park Hyun-kyung, who also competed in the champion group, hit a total of 6 under par and 210 strokes, tying for fourth place with Cho Hye-rim and Lee Jeong-min.

Choi Eun-woo, who started the third round in a joint lead with Jeong Yun-ji and Park Hyun-kyung, recorded one bogey and one birdie until the 16th hole and was unable to reduce the number of strokes, falling one stroke behind Jeong Yun-ji.

However, the outcome was reversed in the 17th hole (par 3).

Jeong Yun-ji’s tee shot did not reach the green, and Choi Eun-woo’s tee shot with a 6-iron fell 2.2 meters next to the hole.

After Jeong Yun-ji’s par putt missed the hole, Choi Eun-woo made a birdie putt and immediately took the lead by one stroke.

Choi Eun-woo’s second shot at the 18th hole (par 4) was caught on the edge of the green, but he finished with 2 putts to confirm his victory.

Eunwoo Choi was lucky to save par on the 16th hole (par 5) before the 17th hole.

The second shot from the fairway flew into the woods on the left, but the ball hit the gallery and entered the playing area.

Choi Eun-woo hit par with his third shot on the green, setting the stage for victory.

Choi Eun-woo, who showed an unwavering performance by taking the lead in the first and second rounds, said, “I had a difficult game in the wind and rain yesterday, so I felt at ease today.” He added, “It seems like my second win came early after winning my first win last year. “Winning is great, but I want to become a player who stays on the tour for a long time,” he said.

Lee Dong-eun, who tied for second place, performed well on the last day, reducing 4 strokes and posting the best performance among rookie players. 스포츠토토
